Price to format and convert your ebook (text only):
17,500 words or less – £60
17,501 – 80,000 words - £130
80,001 – 150,000 words – £160
150,001 and up – £210

*PDF – Converting from a PDF is more labour intensive and an additional charge may be applied.
This is what is included in Help on Tap’s eBook Conversion Service:
- Ensuring the pages breaks are applied in the correct places to ensure good flow of text
- Creation of a Table of Contents (TOC)
- Removing headers and footers that do not convert properly
- Text only conversion (a separate price will need to be quoted for books with charts, tables, special fonts and images)
This is what is NOT included in Help on Tap’s Formatting and Conversion Service:
- We will not proof or correct the manuscript file.
Complicated content such as charts, tables and images may not convert well.
If your book contains anything other than text please contact us and we will give you an individual quote.

What experience do you have?
I have a BSc (Hons) Computer Studies degree and am proficient in HTML and XHTML.
I have over 20 years experience of formatting in both Word and desk top publishing packages. I have produced numerous pamplets, brochures, web designs and eBooks. All you have to do is supply me with the file and images and I can produce a professional e-book for you.
I have used a number of special fonts in my book, will these convert well?
Probably not. Try to use fonts that are a standard option in Word. The best fonts to use are Times New Roman and Arial.
What formatting doesn’t convert well?
When converting Word to Kindle bullet points, special fonts, headers, and footers will not be transferred, so it is best to avoid these.
The simpler the file, the better the conversion outcome.
Are there any potential additional fees?
Yes. If your book has tables, special fonts, images, or complex formatting the book will have to be submitted for an individual quote. If you only have your book as a PDF then an additional fee may be added. You will be notified of this before the conversion takes place.
How long will the conversion take?
We will attempt to convert your file within 3 working days.
What if my book needs changing after the conversion?
Ensure your book is correct before the conversion. Once your document has been submitted for conversion no changes are allowed.
Once the conversion is complete you can either perform the changes yourself to the converted file or purchase the service again.
Is the cover converted with this service?
If you have a book cover then we will add it to the e-Book.
